THANK YOU

We would like to say Thank You for your patience over this busy Flu Season booking period.

As expected, our inbound calls and visitors into the practice have increased considerably since releasing our popular flu clinic dates. This means that some patients may be experiencing longer than normal waiting times to speak to a member of our reception team.

Please, where possible, book your flu vaccinations online or alternatively should you need to telephone or come in to make your appointment, we would ask that you do this after 10;30.

If you do not have online booking, please click on the following link to access the consent form which you need to complete and return to the surgery.

** Did you know that you can now also access your medical records online - please speak to our reception team for more information **

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

NHS charges

These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.

  • Prescription (per item) (with effect 1 April 2019):   £9.00

If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 12 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.

Prepayment certificate (PPC) costs:

  • 12-month:  £104.00
  • 3-month:      £29.10

Click to Buy or Renew a PPC On-line or telephone the advice and order line on 0845 850 0030.

There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
