Practice team
Business Manager, Mrs Jo Kevan is responsible for all the overall financial, budgetary planning for the Practice. Jo leads on the Senior Management Team to ensure the business operates smoothly and meets its required contractual obligations.
Other Members of the Senior Management Team are as follows:
Mrs Sally Clipson, IT & Business Support Officer. Sally is responsible for co-ordinating and monitoring the Practices performance with regard to QOF (Quality & Outcomes Framework). Sally also oversees our team of administrative staff involved in checking and updating patient records and data. Sally ensures that the practices IT systems are running smoothly on a day to day basis.
Mrs Sandra Eberle, Senior Receptionist. Sandra is responsible for supervising a team of 18 Receptionists and ensures that front of house operates smoothly. The reception team are available during opening hours to help you make appointments and deal with general queries.
Mrs Judith Yarham, Senior Nurse. Judy is responsible for the supervision of a nursing team of fifteen staff who have their own appointment system. Our practice nurse team run many specialist clinics, including Asthma, Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, Weight Management, Anti-smoking, Family Planning (both for male and female) and Travel Advice. Miss Judith Rixon, Branch Administrator. Judith is responsible for the smooth day to day running of the branch surgery at Glinton. There are four Partners who provide surgeries at the branch surgery, Dr Norman, Dr Phipps, Dr Nolan-Hughes and Dr Herbert.
Mrs Jackie Sterling, Operations & Facilities Officer. Jackie is responsible for the smooth day to day running of the Practice and the practice premises. Jackie is also able to offer advice, receive suggestions and deal with any complaints concerning services offered by the practice.
Miss Carol Woodthorpe, Senior Dispenser. Carol manages a team of ten staff and is responsible for liaising with pharmaceutical representatives and the Prescribing Pricing Authority (PPA) on behalf of the Practice. The dispensing team supply medicines to all patients registered as dispensing patients. Direct line: 01778 579002, 8.30am – 1.30pm Monday to Friday only.
Other Members of the Practice Team:
Practice Secretaries. The practice secretaries carry out routine secretarial duties, requests for home visits and deal with general queries.
Community Clerk is available via a direct line on 01778 579010, Monday – Friday from 9.00am to 4.00pm. Counsellors are available to provide in-house counselling and this can be arranged in consultation with your GP.
Health Visitors and District Nurses can be contacted via the Community Clerk between 9.00am-4.00pm weekdays. There is a Well Baby Clinic on Thursday between 9.30am and 12.30pm No appointment needed, telephone: 579010.
Midwives provide ante-natal clinics and parent craft classes are held at the Health Centre. Please ask the Community Clerk for more details.
School Nurses take over from the Health Visitor when a child starts school, providing a link between school, home and the Primary Health Care Team. She will offer regular health checks to your child with your consent and will always be willing to discuss any concerns and queries with you.
Podiatrists provide appointments as necessary and can be made via your GP or the Community Clerk.
Physiotherapy is available and referral to this service can only be made by your GP or other Health Care Professional.
