Flu Vaccination Campaign
The Department of Health recommends that all at risk patients in the following categories are advised to have an influenza vaccination. Patients aged sixty-five and over, or adults and children with any of the following: diabetes, heart disease, asthma, chronic respiratory disease, chronic liver disease, splenectomy, chronic neurological disease, immuno-suppression, chronic renal disease. Also eligible are main carers for the elderly or disabled. You may also be eligible for a pneumococcal vaccination. Please enquire about this also.
Our 'flu campaign begins each October. To make appointments please ring 01778-579020 if you are registered at Market Deeping, or 01733-252246 if you are registered at Glinton.
Missed Appointments
Please help us to continue to be able to provide an efficient service by letting us know if you are unable to attend a pre-booked appointment. Every month there are approximately 150 appointments which are not kept. This equates to a whole week of GP time which is lost every month.

Target Training
Both Market Deeping and Glinton Surgeries close for six afternoons a year from 1.00p .m. - 5.00 p.m. These dates are displayed within the surgeries.
Patient Participation Group
Our local Patient Participation Group (PPG) meet on a quarterly basis. The meetings are held at the Health Centre, Market Deeping.
If you would like to get involved with your local community by attending the patient group please contact our Practice Manager, Mrs Jane Hill. Your contact details will be passed on the the Chairman of the PPG who will be only to happy to contact you with further details of meeting dates etc.
Changes to Out of Hours Emergency Service
If you, or a member of your family is taken ill outside normal GP surgery opening hours, and it cannot wait until morning you should contact your local Emergency Care Centre. This service is available for urgent conditions only.

All other enquiries outside of normal GP surgery opening hours should be made to NHS Direct on 0845 4647. Calls taken 24 hours a day.
