Should I see a G.P. or a Nurse Practitioner
This is a question that we get asked alot
The aim is to have our patients seen quickly and by the most appropriate clinician, thereby also freeing up G.P. appointments.
We hope the information shown will help you to understand why you will be booked with one of our nurse practitioners in the first instance if appropriate.
Our Nurse Practitioners can prescribe medication and also make onward referrals (if required).
Below is a snap shot of what our Nurse Practitioners are able to treat;
Breast Lump or Breast Pain
Cellulitis - inflamed
Chest infection/shortness of breath
Headache (not migraine)
Indigestion- not child
In growing Toenails (infected)
Morning After Pill
Reflux- not child

Access & Facilities
There are reserved car parking spaces for the disabled. There are also disabled toilet facilities and the surgery entrance has suitable access for wheelchair users. Hearing loops can be found at the reception desks and at the dispensary.
